TOPIC: upgrading the Dada Mail CB Plug-in

upgrading the Dada Mail CB Plug-in 1 Year, 4 Months ago
I noticed a new release for the Dada Mail CB Plug-in so I wanted to update my installation. What is the proper way to update your CB Plug-in? Should I simple uninstall the old one and install the new one?

I'm thinking I should just uninstall it from the CB interface and then install the new version and put in the parameters. I just wanted to make sure.

Thanks

To help someone in the future. I did what my gut told me to do and deleted the plugin via the CB plugin interface and then installed the new plugin. Keep in mind I copied the setting from the old plugin into Word first so I could repopulate the settings in the new version.

I hesitated to do this previously because I didn't want to loose anything.

By the way, I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but the auto-subscribe feature doesn't work. I checked it in the old version before I deleted it and it didn't work then either.

I hope this helps.

Yeah, saving your parameters, uninstalling and reinstalling is the best method for pretty much ANY Joomla component.
